I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Stephanie Davis and I am honored to be your child’s teacher. I graduated from La Porte High School and went on to get a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Houston in Clear Lake. I have also received my masters degree in education from the University of St. Thomas. This is my 19th year teaching and my sixth year as the a behavior specialist. Previously I have taught Special Education and math at both the elementary and middle school levels.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.
I feel that parent-teacher relationships are necessary for maximum school success. Throughout the year, I will communicate with parents through a daily communication folder, telephone calls, emails, and parent-teacher conferences. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. I am available for conferences regarding your child’s progress by appointment on school days.
I believe, “Character is higher than intellect and a great soul will be strong to live, as well as strong to think.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child's teacher and I look forward to meeting with all parents.
